Autumn Term 2000

In this session the students were asked to run a lesson utilising the internet in one way or another. Most groups decided to structure the management of the lesson through a series of web pages designed and constructed by themselves. The pages aimed to guide the student through both downloaded and online resources in an organised manner hopefully enhancing the learning experience.

Spring Term 2001

In this session the students were asked to plan, create and deliver two ICT lessons that would enhance the schemes of work they were teaching. All lessons were taught individually.

The Solar System.  This was a lesson was a suggestion from our Science Departments NOF Training Supplier "The Science Consortium". The lesson centered around the two web sites listed below. Pupils were asked to investigate the different properties and values of the planets within the solar system. They recorded their answers on a pre-prepared worksheet.

 Autumn Term 2001

In this session the students were asked to plan, prepare and deliver a lesson that utilised the internet. Last year we asked the students to create their own web pages but this year we tried to use suitable resources that could be found on the internet. This left more time to think about lesson planning and classroom management and to examine how the use of ICT supported subject learning.

Vicky set up and delivered a lesson on cells. We were originally planning to use the materials from "www.schoolsnet.co.uk" The day before the lesson the BGFL net access crashed so we had to cobble together these pages to save the lesson. All the resources came from the schoolsnet site and thanks goes to them for that. If they see this and want me to remove these pages I will of course.
